Our son, Erik, cannot walk, talk, or perform even the smallest daily tasks on his own. His disabilities affect every part of his life, and he depends completely on the people around him for care, comfort, and safety. Yet even with all these challenges, he has a gentle strength that touches everyone who meets him. His smile, his presence, and the quiet ways he connects with us remind us that love doesn’t need words.
For families like ours, the journey is not easy. We carry the weight of constant medical needs, physical limitations, and the emotional reality of wanting the very best for a child (young man) who relies on us for everything. It can be overwhelming, and the future can feel uncertain.
